Through the diary of a young pioneer girl, twelve women and their children journey across uncharted territory in 1853, pitting themselves against torrential rainstorms, fires, river crossings, deaths, rapes, and Indian raids.


Their only salvation is their survival instincts as these women fight for their freedom. but, this story is more than that, it is a story of one woman’s journey of self-awareness in a era when men ruled the West.
